Julia WU The best way to describe Julia WU is to say that she is an achiever of dreams who is always exploring different possibilities for who she is. Her parents had her learn classical piano from a young age, but she fell in love with R&B, a genre that lets her fully express herself. She later came to Taiwan and made her dream of a career in music come true. She released her first EP, H.E.N.R.Y, in 2017, followed by her first solo album, 1:28, containing the song "Aren't You a Little Tempted," which has over 20 million views. That same year, she worked with five other rap artists on the album Zou Dao Fei and performed "My Bong" (ten million views) with rapper Kumachan. In 2019, she performed with Alan Walker in front of an audience of about 10,000 at the 14th KKBOX Music Awards. In 2020, she held her first big solo concert, selling 4,000 tickets in just seconds. That year, she not only continued collaborating with international artists but also performed for the fashion world. In 2021, she released 2622, her fourth Mandarin album, which she produced, using both the positive and negative experiences she has accumulated over time in creating an experimental piece that is so her and exhibits her many sides. She is often sought out by major international brands for collaboration. For 2022, aside from new songs, Julia is planning collaborations with more artists from abroad to spread her spirit of dream-chasing to every corner of the world. |
