SU Pin-wen|Feminism Artist
\n\nA feminism artist whose name often leads to being mistaken for a man, Pin-Wen uses the body as a medium of creation. An independent artist, dancer (?), 38-year-old single woman, vegetarian, and skoliosexual – from philosophical background to choreography, Pin-Wen sees dance as a conceptual art, rather than merely an aesthetic object to work for. Pin-Wen's artistic axes differ in two completely independent ways: Su Pin-Wen's Feminism, a three-year project employs Gender and Feminism issues, and uses Nudity as an art form; yet presented the "Girl's Notes"series in the Taipei Fringe Festival. Currently, Pin-Wen works as the artistic director and primary manager of Chiayi Kua Bo Dance Theatre. This marks the ninth year of weekly commutes between Taipei and Chiayi – wherever the body is, that is where contemporary dance is.
