\n\nTjimur Dance Theatre–Varhung~Heart to Heart (Sign Language Edition)
\n\nVarhung~Heart to Heart is a creative work based on the traditional Paiwan four-step dance and music, transforming its tradition into a contemporary body language. Baru MADILJIN, the choreographer, was inspired by the process of picking shell gingers in the Paiwan tribe, while he and his dancers were joining their tribal people to pick shell gingers in the mountain. All the detailed movements during this process, such as picking, drying, and peeling layer by layer became the movement elements in this work. Dancers tell their own stories, while they are dancing, singing and chanting. Audience can witness a journey of life, while experiencing the rhythms of dancers’ movements and tribal songs.

Resident Island Dance Theatre–Ice Age (work in progress)
\n\nIce Age is a new international inclusive choreographic collaboration between visually impaired choreographer Chung-an Chang and disable choreographer Maylis ARRABIT.
\n\nThe piece explores the different ways that people support each other, each in their own cultural environments. Covid-19 has brought the world to a standstill, and has impacted every country differently.
\n\nSome governments believe the worst is over and they begin their economic games, some play chess, whilst others, poker. The stakes?… LIFE itself. Coming out of lockdown people face huge uncertainties. Though some people love the lockdown, others are freaking out, and going back to ‘normal’ is scary even for those who live in the safest place in the world.

Dua Shin Te Production X LIU Yen-cheng A Piece of Cake
\n\nA Piece of Cake rearranges time by manipulating objects and integrating newly excavated body vocabulary. A woman and a man with amid humorous gestures and serious steps, they gently touch on the obscure weight and invisible dismal of life.
\n\nLife is uneasy, but everything will turn out alright in the end... Eventually, will we feel the lightness of life? Will it feel like 'a piece of cake', or an unbearable lightness? Try to touch the inerasable scars and taste the sense of triumph overcoming the pain. Why shouldn't we enjoy the pain as how we enjoy the happiness? Feel the pain. Feel the joy.

Resident Island Dance Theatre
\n\nCHANG Chung-an, award-winning and prolific choreographer, established Resident Island Dance Theatre in 2010. Chung-an lost his sight in his right eye when he’s 18 so he had to give up the dance training in Taipei National University of the Arts and returned to his home town Pingtung, a place which has a limited of the art resources. However, he believes dancing, movements and choreographing are tools which he can express his thoughts through, and therefore continues with self-training, teaching and choreographing for him and others. His work inspiration mostly associated with the mental care and social impact subjects. He started develop disable dance in 2019 after the British Council invited him visiting Unlimited in 2018.

Dua Shin Te Production
\n\nFounded by LIU Yen-cheng in Taipei, our name suggests that independent individuals are gathered together to form a collective, an aggregated Grand Body (pronounced Dua Shin-Te in Taiwanese). The ethos of Dua Shin Te Production is that “the life exists when the body exists; the body exists when the movement exists.” Our approach is to return to the rudimentary origins of body movements, seek the awakening of physical knowledge, and pursue the possibilities of our bodies. By excavating dance movements from daily life, and by integrating other key materials, such as objects, visual or audio elements, we attempt to create fantasy in reality, and reality in fantasy.
