\n\nIn addition to Brahms' second symphony, Taiwan Connection will also bring to the audience the well-known Mozart Divertimento for string orchestra and the famous Mendelssohn Violin Concerto in E Minor, to be played by the TC Music Director Nai-Yuan Hu.

\nTaiwan Connection
Taiwan Connection (TC) was co-founded in 2004 by violinist Nai-Yuan Hu, First Prize winner of the 1985 Queen Elisabeth Competition, and Stanley Yen, chairman of the Alliance Cultural Foundation, to bring together talented Taiwanese musicians, both local and from abroad, in chamber music performances with the further aim of promoting classical music all over Taiwan, often reaching a wider general public beyond the usual concert hall setting. Over the years, TC has collaborated with well-known international artists such as pianists Fou Ts’ong, Robert Levin, and Michael Endres; violinist Dong-Suk Kang; violists Nobuko Imai and Rainer Moog; and cellists Jian Wang and Wen-Sinn Yang. In addition to presenting concerts in formal venues, TC regularly organizes master classes and educational outreach programs throughout Taiwan.
\n\nExpanding on the principle of chamber music, a string orchestra was formed for the Festival in 2007. Two years later, a full complement of winds was incorporated to launch the TC Chamber Orchestra, performing always without a conductor. The TC musicians have tackled such works as Beethoven’s Symphonies No. 3, 5, 7; Brahms’ Fourth Symphony; Mozart’s late G Minor Symphony; and Schubert’s C Major Symphony (the Great) to critical acclaim. In 2016 and 2017, the TC Chamber Orchestra toured China, performing in such cities as Qingdao, Wuhan, Chongqing, Shenyang, Wenzhou and others.
\n\nIn August of 2018, the first TC International Summer Chamber Music Festival will feature such renown guest artists as violinist Marc Danel of the Danel String Quartet from France; American violist Paul Neubauer; Scott Lee and Keith Robinson, members of the Miami String Quartet from the United States; and Korean cellist Sung-Won Yang.
