Honji Wang and Sébastien Ramirez, two persons sharing four cultures, create their bedrock piece Monchichi in 2010 aiming to defend a notion of difference despite culturally anchored stereotypes. In a world where freedom of movement and multiculturalism are constantly receding, the couple has decided to share their personal experience with young audiences. W.A.M. We Are Monchichi, is the story of an encounter between an Italian B-boy and a Taiwanese dancer which must cohabit and habituate themselves to the clichés associated with their birth countries.
