Visitors purchasing tickets to family-friendly programs We are Monchichi and One Morning I Left can enjoy a 20% discount when purchasing three or more tickets to the same performance.
Weiwuying‘s Showtime is known as “light production.” Priced at 150 NTD per ticket (excludes meals), Weiwuying Showtime hopes that visitors can spend Wednesday afternoons and evenings enjoying the one-hour performances, spending some quality me-time or family time. Included in the performances are Japanese Rakugo by Saryuu Ryuutei and Rokuta Yanagiya, C Turtle Tactic’s satire on love Dacon.come, and A Taste of Theatre, an unconventional theater performance which stages dance within Perfume Dance Weiwuying store. A Taste of Theatre is an interactive performance that uses cuisine as the intermediary for performance; the 400-NTD ticket allows audiences to enjoy the performance and meals at the same time. Other live performances include programs by SEMISCON Vocal Band, Cicada, and singer-songwriter Dadado Huan.
Dance duo Wang Ramirez was established in 2007 by Korean dancer Honji Wang and French dancer Sébastien Ramirez. Over the years, Wang Ramirez has produced various dance theater works and was awarded the New York Bessie Award. We are Monchichi, staged on the 6th and 7th of July, applies the choreography expertise of the dancers and portray a kingdom of freedom. The dance moves encourage viewers to picture a cross-generation and cross-culture group of people who live with mobile devices. These people are capable of communicating through art, despite their language barrier.
One Morning I Left by Teatro de Ocasion will be staged on the 20th and 21st of July. The story narrates Anna, the main character, and her adventures of exploring the mysteries of nature, her experience of crossing the desert on the back of a large bird, diving into the waters in a bubble, and adventures in the jungle, with the help of Gaspar and company of Oliver. The troupe magically presents the intimate and enchanting performance by combining daily objects such as fabrics, buckets, funnels and rope with musical instruments such as guitar, clarinet, and percussion. Since its production in 2010, One Morning I Left has received awards including first prize at the San Diego Children Theater Festival, the “Audience Choice Award” in the children category at the 2013 International Theater Festival MESS Sarajevo. One Morning I Left is an ideal choice for families.
