[2026 Weiwuying International Music Festival] Soprano Hanna-Elisabeth MÜLLER Vocal Recital - Love and Twilight
"My better soul, my better self!" SCHUMANN's wedding gift to his beloved Clara, Myrthen, is a collection of 26 art songs of love. Among them is the celebrated intimate declaration of devotion Widmung. This recital features 11 of the set, interpreted by acclaimed Hanna-Elisabeth MÜLLER, whose crystal-pure voice gives them life, with long-time duo partner pianist Juliane RUF. POULENC's La courte Paille follows - seven songs infused with childlike innocence, wonder, imagination: gentle lullabies, dreamlike adventures, the Queen of Hearts. Shifting images of nature reflect solitude, longing, and release in the emotional depth of SCHUMANN's Lenau-Lieder. The program concludes with five songs by R. STRAUSS, operatic lyricism evoking fervent love or the poet's spirit contemplating the pastoral.
