[2025 Weiwuying Circus Platform] Clément DAZIN & La Main de l'Homme - BRUT
BRUT shifts perspectives and redefines performance spaces. It offers spectators a new way of seeing the stage by revealing everything that is usually hidden or ordinarily kept away from the public eye. Loading docks and theater storage hangars become blended performance spaces, where artists perform while technical staff continue their work, seamlessly integrated into the scene.
BRUT attempts to create an allegorical representation of the working world—how physical effort can be elevated through dance and circus, in order to question our relationship with labor in a humorous and poetic way, all while highlighting both the absurdity and beauty of the repetitive gestures performed by workers across our world.

Artists Introduction
Clément DAZIN was interested in movement at a very young age and started gymnastics at the age of six. At 16, he became interested in circus arts, particularly juggling, and worked with an amateur company, Point Bar, where he discovered the joy of creation and choreography. Before becoming a professional in the circus arts, DAZIN spent two years working for a call center and later became a management control apprentice at Eurocopter. He holds a Master's degree in Management and explored in his final thesis the psycho-emotional dimension of workplace relationships. He then joined the Lyon Circus School before continuing his training at the Centre National des Arts du Cirque (CNAC), where he further explored the connections between contemporary dance, physical theater, hip-hop dance, and juggling to develop his artistic universe.
Until 2017, DAZIN focused his company's creative work on choreographic juggling. Since then, he has been exploring the role of text and speech in his performances:
- Bruit de couloir (2013) – choreographic juggling solo
- R2JE (2014) – dance/juggling duo
- Humanoptère (2017) – choreographic juggling piece for 7 performers
- Trajectoires (2021) – solo performance for classrooms
- Cosmos (2021) – theater/circus solo with Ashtar Muallem
- Inops (2021) – theater/circus piece for 6 performers
- L'Envers de nos décors (2022) – young audience theater/circus piece with Thomas Scotto
- A.N.G.S.T (2023) – juggling/wire-walking duo with Lucas Bergandi
- Mahamat (2026) – acrobatic dance with Mahamat Fofana
