Hans GRAF, Leonidas KAVAKOS & NSO
NSO invites conductor Hans GRAF and violinist Leonidas KAVAKOS to present TCHAIKOVSKY's Violin Concerto, one of the four great violin concertos. Initially dismissed by Leopold AUER as "unplayable" due to its technical difficulty, the piece has since become a staple of the repertoire, admired for its melodies and virtuosity.
The program continues with RACHMANINOFF's Symphony No. 3, composed nearly 30 years after his Second Symphony. A late-period work, it showcases the composer's refined orchestration and lyrical style. Led by Hans GRAF, this concert brings together outstanding musicians and great music.
