[2024 Open House] Shinehous Theatre - Fish Excerpt
Fish by Shinehouse Theatre is adapted from writer HUANG Chun-ming's story. It revolves around the family's conflict over the fish. Sign language is integrated into it to create inclusive theatre.
The performance will feature selected excerpts, providing a glimpse into the heart of the story. It will include sign language and puppet demonstrations, allowing for interactive audience participation and a deeper understanding of the narrative's emotions. This unique experience is only available at Weiwuying Open House.

Team Introduction
Director|CHUNG Po-yuan
CHUNG Po-Yuan graduated from the Department of Drama of National Taipei University of the Arts, majoring in directing. He established Shinehouse Theatre in 2006. His works focus on human nature and contemporary social issues, accumulating a repertoire of more than 30 productions to date and has published script collections of "Armageddon" and "Underground Women." He has been invited to Thailand Bangkok Theater Festival, Shanghai International Contemporary Theater Festival, Taipei Art Festival, Tokyo Art Festival, Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Theatrium International Theatre Festival and UfaFabrik. At the same time planning and producing the 10th anniversary of the 2020 New Choreographer project (Meimage Dance), and the principal of 2020 Taiwan Creative Dance Competition. He is currently the curator of the Want to Dance Festival, and the director of Wan Theater. He was invited to be the curator of PQ2023 Taiwan Pavilion (ECR).
Shinehous Theatre
Shinehouse Theatre, founded in 2006, now operating Wan Theater in Tangbu Cultural Park, Wanhua, Taipei. Its creations include: pieces on social issues such as "The Swallow", "She Gets John's Kiss and Becomes Hu-Lid's Woman—The Room of A Prostitute", "Armageddon Trilogy" and "Purgatory"; literature adaptations from ZHANG Man-Juan , HUANG Chun-Ming, Mishima Yukio, Miyabe Miyuki and many other famous writers; and ghost stories series in "A Midsummer Night's Chat".
Shinehouse Theatre also developed "The otter's Plan" with the locals in Wanhua, as well as offering theatre courses to physically and mentally disables in Nanhai Center, aiming for inclusive theatre. They have participated in Shanghai International Contemporary Theater Festival, Bangkok International Theater Festival, Festival / Tokyo, Taipei Art Festival, Asian Performing Arts Festival, Tokyo Art Festival, East Asia People Theatre Festival (Korea), Edinburgh Fringe Festival, "The ATRIUM" (Klaipeda Drama Theatre) and ufaFabrik Berlin International Cultural Centre performances.
