\n\nOne is bound to face many unknown "forks" of fate along the path of life, hence the body manifests in multiple forms in this journey. This is much like the native seeds of mountain flora, which take root and sprout locally before dispersing to blossom in different places. Some are even replanted in distant foreign lands. Their stems and leaves mingle and interlace, forming maps of the body that are conflicting yet harmonious and enriched with life.
\n\nAt this moment, the paths of the "contemporary Taiwanese indigenous people" – whether dwelling in their tribes or in cities –are caught in the fractures and disassociation of this era. In addition to preserving traditions and legends, new narratives are also being constructed.
\n\nAlthough I faced a forking path on the way home, I could still see the forest ahead of me.
\n\nThe dance film is the extension from the life stories of Tainan Park (Tainan City, Taiwan) to the pursuit of hometown memories of Meihua Village, Jianshi Township (Hsinchu County, Taiwan). Through hundred days strolling, we explored the different direction of forking path which outlined the body map inside ourselves, and then we expanded it to the imagination of ten thousand years of geological ecology and raised the questions and emotions about human and nature.
\n\nThe Body of Forking Paths is a dance film commissioned by National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts (Weiwuying) (Taiwan). It is presented as part of Dance en Scene by Esplanade, in partnership with National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts (Weiwuying) (Taiwan), National Taichung Theater (Taiwan) and Tai Kwun – Centre for Heritage and Arts (Hong Kong).

\n\nBorn in 1982, Kaohsiung, Taiwan, WANG studied Applied Drama and Theater at the National Taiwan University of Arts. She currently works as an artist, singer-songwriter and composer, and is keen to explore a range of creative projects. Recently she is interested to experiment the dialogue between sound and the body: how the visual can actualize the inner spaces of the hearing, how the landscape of musical beauty is presented in and between the lines of the verse. Music to her is to explore what is yet to be known in the linear time, and simultaneously, a call to the lineage of being.
\n\nShe looks forward to continue her creative processes and artistic search in different corners of the world, to capture the everyday moments and being in life. Using poetry and sound as the carrier of intercultural dialogue, it is WANG's yearning that she first becomes a listener to the other and a listener to the world above all of her musical pursuits.

\n\nTo Whom It May Concern can be likened to a note that records fragments of life and is thrown into the river of time. It travels toward the future, waiting for someone to pick it up and read it to connect other chapters of the story.
\n\nPeculiar Man observed the daily lives of Les Petites Choses Production members from the perspective of a creator. This collaborative process, which took place in-person and online, enabled Peculiar Man to compose each person's passions, frustrations, and idiosyncrasies into portraits and respond to the surroundings via body movement. Through the reinterpretation of the Good Things Happening Films Studio and director WU Hsiao-Lu, a poetic and detached approach is adopted to portray intimate moments that are either absurd and noisy or lonely and quiet.
\n\nTo Whom It May Concern is a dance film commissioned by National Taichung Theater (Taiwan).
