【Art Talk】Building Palaces: An Eternal Recurrence
Palaces is a five-hour-long theatre work inspired by one of the five most mysterious cases of Taiwan. Playwright WU Ming-lun spent two years working on Palaces and will be unveiling his research, readings, and explorations of the theme and creative method with audiences. WU will also be sharing the guidelines of deconstructing and reconstructing the collected materials, the major incidents that impacted the work during its creative process, as well as the central theme of Palaces.
Our Theatre actress CHUANG Ting-yu participated in Palaces back when it was still a one-person show and was the first leading actress during its early presentations. CHUANG is also one of the few people who read the early script of the work and is rumored to be a key figure in the decision of the work's ending. CHUANG will be sharing how she conjectured the inner state of the characters of Palaces and her initial imaginations on the work.
