2020 Carrefour Arts Festival
"Integrating Art into Everyday Life" has always been the spirit of the Carrefour Arts Festival. Art is neither distant nor singular because timeless art is ubiquitous in everyday life, where our home, land, and community are all stages for arts. Community revitalization, small farmers and social enterprises, and arts and culture constitute the 3 major dimensions of the arts festival. During the 3-day festival, 3 major night theatre performances, 20 outdoor day theatre performances, 40 marketplace stalls, and workshops and CreativeMornings talks allow participants to appreciate the beauty of arts in our everyday life and imbue strength to the people and land through arts. It is hoped that Carrefour Arts Festival brings every family and community close to arts in the friendliest way, portraying the hominess and playfulness of life.
“Day Theatre” is a carnival featuring more than 20 outdoor performances including acrobatics, dance, percussion, traditional music, singing, and magic performance, offering the audience an immersive performing arts experience and sharing the performers' dreams with them.
“Night Theater” consists of 3 major performances held in the evening of October 23, 24 and 25, featuring extraordinary Taiwanese troupes including Paper Windmill Theatre, Ten Drum Art Percussion Group, and Formosa Circus Art. Lawns will be open for public to enjoy the performance and starlight. Simultaneously, our audience can intimately integrate art into their life.
“Carrefour Marketplace” with the theme of environmental sustainability, food agriculture, and community revitalization, is comprised of 40 marketplace stalls, workshops and CreativeMornings talks. It will broaden the publics’ horizons and inspire their imagination through variable activities.
