2020【Weiwuying 365+ Dance】Jan - Jun
After a meal, people who wish to exercise generally go to gyms, parks, and activity centers. Now, people can go to Weiwuying as well! Weiwuying offers a variety of dance options including street dances, international standard dances, impromptu dances, contemporary dances, ballet, and tai chi. Visit the Weiwuying Banyan plaza and enjoy the joy of exercising and dancing together!
Date and time: The first Wednesday of every month, 19:30–21:00
Venue: The west side of the Banyan Plaza (near the west ticket gate of the Opera House), the National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts (Weiwuying)

2/5 Hu Zong-han (Sky) | |
Hu Zong-han (Sky), 21 years of age, is from IP Lockers and currently studies at the Department of Sports Performing Arts (Street Dance Team), University of Taipei. He started learning various dances since 2007, particularly locking. He loves street dances because they make him feel complete. Therefore, he wants to introduce street dances and hip-hop culture to everyone. |
4/1 Zhao Qun-lun | |
Zhao Qun-lun started learning international standard dances at the age of nine and has been dancing for 30 years. He had been a national team member for 11 years, successfully competing in 33 countries. Additionally, he is a master of 10 international standard dances. While honing his dancing skills, he passed the teacher certification issued by the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) and studied sports psychology and action behavior. He combines his dancing experience with professional teaching methods, teaching his students dancing skills; training their minds; and using the concept of biomechanics to adjust dancing lessons according to the physical conditions of his students, making his dance lessons a “science.” |
5/6 Yu Yen-fang | |
Yu Yen-fang, a graduate of the School of Dance, National Taipei University of the Arts (bachelor’s degree) and the Department of Dance, the Ohio State University (master’s degree), currently teaches at the School of Dance, National Taipei University of the Arts as well as the Department of Dance, University of Taipei. She is the organizer of dance drama Planning Silently and the Silent Workshop as well as the resident artist of the Dark Eyes Performance Lab. Yu had created and performed in performances in theaters and art festivals in Europe, the United States, China, and Taiwan; was a dance team member of Bebe Miller Company (U.S.) and Ku & Dancers (Taiwan); and was a guest performer of Staatstheater Kassel (Germany) and a Frankfurt theater (Germany). She has also taught in Cloud Gate (I & II), the Beijing Normal University, Shanghai, Kuala Lumpur, and Groningen. |
6/3 Su Wei-jia | |
Su Wei-jia founded HORSE in 2004, creating performances that have won the Taishin Arts Award (category: Performance) and the Kurt Jooss Choreography Competition Gold Award. Between 2009 and 2013, he had been invited by American ballet master Eliot Feld to perform as a guest dancer for Ballet Tech. In 2013, he introduced a 10-year-long choreography project called “Free Steps,” which dance critics described as “a performance of extreme beauty.” In recent years, he has begun to pay attention to his social responsibilities as a dancer, sharing the joy of dancing everywhere. |
