Working actively in Iran, s/he was a part of the underground organisation ICCD, whose festival Untimely (Teheran) hosted their work before their departure for France. During studies at the Centre chorégraphique national de Montpellier s/he created the solo Subject to Change, a performance that questions transformation with regards to time and one’s cohabitation with an environment. In 2016, s/he created Farci.e, a solo dealing in notions of language, gender identity and sexuality. In 2018, he created Savušun, inspired by the grieving ceremonies of the Muharram and dealing in questions of emotions: grief, fear, and suffering.(Photo by Sara Lando)

\nThe symbol of the knot represents an archetypal and ancestral idea rooted deep in the human universe and, in particular, in many of its basic mental processes: this image is able to quickly awaken a myriad of concepts and feelings, even of considerable complexity. It is perhaps for this reason that in every culture the node always plays a leading role, overcoming geographical boundaries and cultural limits.

Taiwan|Ming-Hwa YEH
\n\nEmotions: Miss
\nMaterial: Me
I was born in Kaohsiung in 1983, but ‘immigrated’ to Taipei when I was 16 years old. After 36 years, it is my first time to return home for presenting my long-piece work. The two-week residency program of the Museum of Human E-motions gave me the opportunity to recognize the city of Kaohsiung, his charm and warmth, although a lot of things have been changed.
\n
At Weiwuying, a newly-born aircraft carrier of arts, it seems that I am travelling to those old times by a time machine:
\n
Back to the beautiful era belonged to my parents,
\nTo my childhood,
\nEven to those imaginary moments or in the future,
\nA tribute to the past, the present and those beautiful moments that I may not encounter again in the future.
