Piano|LU Yi-chih
LU Yi-chih, a Taiwanese pianist, was born in 1982. He studied with Michael Krist at the University for Music and Performing Arts Vienna, later with Klaus Hellwig at the University of the Arts Berlin.
He has won 13 important national and international piano competitions, such as Sendai, Hummel, Maria Canals etc. Concert tours have taken him through Austria, Germany, Slovakia, Italy, Holland, Romania, Taiwan, Japan, and the USA. His orchestral appearances have been with the Taipei Metropolitan Orchestra, Sendai Philharmonic, Arad Philharmonic, and Radio Symphonic Orchestra Vienna. He is also known as a chamber musician, piano companion and interpreter from modern music in different concerts. He is now holding assistant professorships at the Taipei National University of the Arts.
