What You Don't Know About the Little Mushroom, SCHUBERT
"Heidenröslein" is a world-famous classic of SCHUBERT'S that has been translated into and sung in many languages. For this performance, a fine collection of SCHUBERT's works were selected, including Heidenröslein in Cape No. 7, Military March used as award ceremony music, Hark! Hark! The Lark! that sings happily in the sky, the ingenious Moment Musica, the Piano Trio in B-flat Major, String Quartet Der Tod und das Mädchen, and Gretchen am Spinnrade. In addition, this performance combines storytelling and drama performance to present SCHUBERT'S works through a narrative approach, showcasing the ethereally elegant and pure melodies of SCHUBERT that are befitting of his nickname "Little Mushroom"!
The Counterpoint Ensemble has gradually evolved from delivering family concerts that are much loved by children into providing quality concerts that are suitable for all ages. By way of high-quality music performances and simple storylines, the ensemble hopes to present a different introduction to SCHUBERT by turning abstract music into an enjoyable film-like experience.
