\n\n以20世紀已經「去歷史化」、透過小提琴原音的演奏方式開發各種聲響的曲目,加上當代電聲後,是補遺?拼貼?平行各說各話?還是幻化成新的樂曲?以三位電聲作曲家直面三位現代音樂大師,透過演奏家點燃魔法。

\n小提琴家吳思樺設計的音樂會總是帶給聽眾不同的驚喜與挑戰。紐約時報曾讚譽她的演出「鮮明,優雅與純粹」;她的演奏富感染力、情感細膩。新蘇黎世報則形容她他的演出創造了「令人振奮的張力」,讓所有觀眾全神貫注。 《遊刃之弦》是吳思樺為小提琴獨奏與電聲音樂所設計的製作,她以古典音樂中的傳統演奏方式為核心,加入電聲與互動科技的樂器演奏狀態。有別於常見的電聲演奏,多以聲響設計為作品核心。她為《遊刃之弦》設計兩套演奏曲目,從傳統炫技到當代技法,展現小提琴不可思議的多種面貌,不僅引領觀眾探索全新的聽覺領域、擴展觀眾的想像力,也重新定義傳統樂器與電聲結合的美學精神,同時以音樂演奏對科技在藝術領域的應用,提出思辨與實踐。

吳思樺
\n\n從紐約林肯中心及米勒劇院、蘇黎世音樂廳、薩爾茲堡莫札特音樂學院到臺北國家戲劇院都有吳思樺演出的蹤跡。她也曾在法國巴黎龐畢度中心、浪漫生活博物館以及蒙貝利亞爾的現代藝術中心「19」舉辦演出。
\n\n於歌倫比亞大學比較文學系和茱莉亞音樂學院畢業後,吳思樺留在茱莉亞音樂學院繼續攻讀碩士並同時在哈佛攻讀民族音樂學碩士。之後,為了研究所作品,她前往瑞士蘇黎世音樂大學,拜師Zakhar Bron 以及 Nora Chastain。

Ms. WU presents two programs of dynamic explorations of sound possibilities. In each one she offers surprising and provoking pairs of pioneering solo works for violin, that expand audience's imaginations. WU Szuhwa
\n\nMs. Wu's performance credits range from New York's Lincoln Center and Miller Theatre, to the Zurich Tonhalle, the Salzburg Mozarteum, and the National Theater of Taipei. She has also created performance experiences for the Centre Pompidou and the Musée de la Vie Romantique in Paris, as well as the “19” Center for Contemporary Arts in Montbéliard.
\n\nWith undergraduate degrees from both Columbia University and The Juilliard School—in comparative literature and violin performance respectively—Ms. Wu continued at Juilliard for her master's degree and earned an additional master's in ethnomusicology at Harvard. For her post-graduate work, she studied in Switzerland at the Hochschule fur Musik in Zurich with Zakhar Bron and Nora Chastain.

在今日眾所熟知的當代電子音樂演出方式裡,音樂家與他們的電子樂器所製造出的聲響,通常由一名電腦工程師控制,游牧工廠室內樂團的演奏家們打破往昔作法,透過樂手自己的電腦,對每個聲響進行直接控制,藉由掌控原聲與電子音樂的對話與融合,游牧工廠找到了傳統室內樂的自發性,並開創了21世紀的音樂裡,傳統古典音樂與尖端科技兩者相容平衡的可能性。 游牧工廠是一個結合樂器與電子音樂的室內樂團,透過特殊的電子樂器Karlax,緊密連結傳統演奏和電子聲響,2019年游牧工廠帶來6首曲子,以不同的當代美學概念寫作而成,但每首曲子皆展現出原聲與電子音樂語法的強烈連結。歷經5年的研究發展,這套作品將重新導入已漸漸被遺忘的親近性、傾聽與可讀性。

By mastering the acoustic/digital dialogue and global listening on the stage, the ensemble finds the spontaneity of traditional chamber music and launches a "new" music of a 21st century reconciling cutting-edge technology and musical classicism. Written in different contemporary aesthetics, all works present a strong link between the acoustic instruments and the digital gestures' musical phrasing.

丹斯瑪舞蹈劇場於2007年成立,是立陶宛第一個專為寶寶創作現代舞蹈的舞團。藝術總監為比露蒂.芭內薇邱蒂,是編舞家,也是立陶宛教育科學大學社會科學-舞蹈教育學系的副教授。她結合十年的舞蹈教育經驗,為孩童創作出一系列舞作而聞名全球舞壇,她的作品總能讓寶寶與家長輕鬆體驗現代舞的美好。 2019年全新創作《草地尋寶趣》再次以互動式舞蹈與設計如草地般的互動式舞台裝置,帶來沉浸式的體驗。讓寶寶不僅看著舞者舞動,也自然而然地手舞足蹈參與演出並樂在其中,感受舞蹈帶來的快樂,成為舞台上最美好的風景之一。建議帶6個月至18個月大寶寶觀賞,演出40分鐘,寶寶全程可在舞台區活動。

編舞家比露蒂.芭內薇邱蒂
\n畢業於立陶宛維爾紐斯大學,學習不同的舞蹈技巧、即興和編舞,並在美國、英國、奧地利、義大利、荷蘭、德國、瑞典、波蘭、立陶宛等國學習舞蹈教育。她曾在多國的國際舞蹈節演出舞蹈節目,包括立陶宛、愛沙尼亞、拉脫維亞、德國、波蘭、威爾斯、瑞典、丹麥、比利時、荷蘭。
比露蒂曾擔任兒童歌劇、音樂劇的導演及編舞,指導舞台上100-150名2至19歲的年輕舞者。過去十年,她在立陶宛教育科學大學擔任社會科學(舞蹈教育)的副教授。她也是舞蹈教師和舞蹈教育學者,在國內外舉辦給兒童、舞者、編舞家、舞蹈教師的研討會和工作坊。比露蒂是丹斯瑪舞蹈劇場的藝術總監,為兒童創作過的表演包含《雲中之首》(2009)、《創造世界》(2010)、《拼拼樂》(2012)、《奇蹟》(2014)、《多彩遊戲》(2015)、《閃爍》(2016)、《草地尋寶趣》(2019)、《鐘錶匠》(2019)。

Choreographer Birutė Banevičiūtė
\ngraduated from Vilnius University, studying in different dance techniques, improvisation and choreography, and studied dance pedagogy in the United States, the United Kingdom, Austria, Italy, the Netherlands, Germany, Sweden, Poland and Lithuania. Her dance performances have been shown at various international dance festivals in Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, Germany, Poland, Wales, Sweden, Denmark, Belgium and the Netherlands. Birutė directed and created choreography for several children's operas and musicals with 100-150 young dancers from 2 to 19 years old on stage. For 10 years she worked as assoc. prof. doctor of social sciences (dance pedagogy) in Lithuanian University of Educational Sciences. She is also a dance teacher and scholar in dance education, giving seminars and workshops for children, dancers, choreographers, and dance teachers nationally and internationally. Birutė is artistic director of Dansema Dance Theater, where she has created performances for children, including Head in the Clouds (2009), Creation of the World (2010), Puzzle (2012), Miracles (2014), Colourful Games (2015), Twinkles (2016), Meadow (2019), and Watchmaker (2019).

比露蒂.芭內薇邱蒂
\n畢業於立陶宛維爾紐斯大學,學習不同的舞蹈技巧、即興和編舞,並在美國、英國、奧地利、義大利、荷蘭、德國、瑞典、波蘭、立陶宛等國學習舞蹈教育。她曾在多國的國際舞蹈節演出舞蹈節目,包括立陶宛、愛沙尼亞、拉脫維亞、德國、波蘭、威爾斯、瑞典、丹麥、比利時、荷蘭。
比露蒂曾擔任兒童歌劇、音樂劇的導演及編舞,指導舞台上100-150名2至19歲的年輕舞者。過去十年,她在立陶宛教育科學大學擔任社會科學(舞蹈教育)的副教授。她也是舞蹈教師和舞蹈教育學者,在國內外舉辦給兒童、舞者、編舞家、舞蹈教師的研討會和工作坊。比露蒂是丹斯瑪舞蹈劇場的藝術總監,為兒童創作過的表演包含《雲中之首》(2009)、《創造世界》(2010)、《拼拼樂》(2012)、《奇蹟》(2014)、《多彩遊戲》(2015)、《閃爍》(2016)、《草地尋寶趣》(2019)、《鐘錶匠》(2019)。

World cognition of a child in the first years begins from a variety of shapes and colors. Famous Lithuanian choreographer Birutė BANEVIČIŪTĖ and dancers put those colored shapes together as a puzzle and recognizable vegetables – carrot, tomato, cucumber, and sometimes unrecognizable mushrooms, fruits and flowers appear. During the performance, traveling through children's developmental stages, dancers crawl, creep, or bounce as children under three years old. These children's movements are accompanied by the specially created music suitable for children aged 0-3 years.

文學大師白先勇經典長篇小說《孽子》,2014年由金鐘導演曹瑞原、編劇施如芳改編成同名舞台劇於TIFA台灣國際藝術節首演;觀眾迴響激動熱烈,八場演出一萬兩千多張票券全數售罄,一票難求。2020年正逢《孽子》小說發表滿四十周年,舞台劇也將在首演六周年後經典重返。

\n《孽子》描述在禁忌猶深的70年代,臺灣同志族群被家國拒斥的邊緣處境。全劇以同志間激烈的情感為經,以華人社會最糾葛的父子親情為緯,以「龍鳳戀」貫串, 呈現原著的傳奇與愛慾、孽子們對家的渴望、死生乖離的親情悔罪與救贖。導演以寫實與抒情詩意交錯的意識流手法,牽引觀眾重返那沒有黎明的神祕「黑暗王國」,再現新公園「青春鳥群」的悲歡年華。

Pai Hsien-yung is one of the leading figures in Taiwan's modern literature and is famous for his portrait of characters struggling between old and new generations as well as between different cultures. His works have been adapted by many directors for TV dramas and films, which have won acclamation from both critics and audiences, and have far-reaching influence. Director Tsao Jui-yuan, who has won the Golden Bell Award for his adaption of Crystal Boys for TV miniseries, is no doubt the best candidate to adapt the novel for stage. This time, he collaborates with veteran scriptwriter Shih Ju-fang, who is praised as the best interpreter of modern Taiwanese opera, to create a stage crossing the borders of different performing styles for Crystal Boys.

\n匈牙利當代音樂大師彼得.于特福許身兼作曲家、指揮家與教師,於1991年成立于特福許當代音樂基金會(Peter EÖTVÖS Contemporary Music Foundation)提攜後輩不遺餘力,是當代樂壇深具影響力的重要人物之一。衛武營與該基金會於2019年簽訂合作備忘錄,成為培育當代音樂作曲與指揮人才的國際夥伴。受衛武營當代音樂平台邀請,于特福許首度親臨臺灣,將由長年協助大師排練作品的旅德指揮家廖曉玲詮釋大師作品,本場選曲不僅呈現大師不同時期的藝術面貌,更能窺見大師多元的創作巧思。

Lin LIAO, a Taiwanese conductor currently residing in Germany, will direct the Opening Concert of the Weiwuying Contemporary Music Platform. The works of Peter EÖTVÖS will be presented for the first time in Taiwan. This Hungarian master is a composer, conductor, and instructor. He is a very influential figure in the world of contemporary music. Weiwuying signed a cooperation memorandum with the foundation in 2019 with the goal of forming an international partnership to promote the training of promising composers and conductors in the field of contemporary music. The works of this master cover a wide variety of styles. The pieces which were selected for this event give a glimpse of the genius of this great maestro.

法國知名蘇格蘭風笛演奏家、作曲家與即興演奏家艾爾萬.克哈維,跳脫布列塔尼傳統音樂,探索蘇格蘭風笛的獨特演奏方式,並多方揉合即興演奏、自由爵士與「噪音」爵士等新元素。他創立了以布列塔尼傳統管樂器為演奏主體的四重奏樂團SONNEURS,在這些具文化代表性的樂器相互搭配下,這支四重奏樂團所演奏出來的樂音揉合了原始粗獷的風情與豐富的音色,而布列塔尼風笛和蘇格蘭風笛嘹亮的聲音則持續在空氣中迴盪、共鳴,這四種樂器在集中的音域中合奏時,更具備了強大的穿透力,震撼人心。2020年將在衛武營獨家演出。

艾爾萬.克哈維
\n\n身兼蘇格蘭風笛演奏家、作曲家和即興演奏家的艾爾萬.克哈維,為尋求更獨特的樂音組合,以及不同的演奏方式和聽覺體驗,他跳脫出風笛樂器原有的文化背景,開始多方探索即興音樂、自由爵士與「噪音」爵士,並藉此為風笛獨奏,以及與獨唱和合唱團進行的三重奏,開創當代音樂的曲目。克哈維對肢體表演的興趣亦使其跨界為眾多編舞家的作品創作及演奏。
\n其音樂養分源自傳統的布列塔尼音樂。1996年,克哈維加入了Ronsed Mor布列塔尼管樂隊。該樂隊與法國里昂想像音樂探索協會ARFI旗下的煉獄鍋爵士樂團(La Marmite Infernale)一同錄製作品,該次合作經歷喚醒了克哈維的即興演奏基因,並延續至今。

\n\nErwan KERAVEC wished to explore the possibility of extending his ambition further than his own instrument, i.e. of modifying a strong cultural origin. To achieve this, he has set up a piping quartet that brings together the four instruments of the Breton piping tradition, starting with the historic bombard and biniou koz and including the Scottish bagpipe, which has become Breton over the last century, and the trelombard, invented to act as a counterpoint to the bombard and bagpipe in bagadou (plural of bagad: Breton piper bands). With its culturally marked instruments, this quartet is characterized by its raw sound, rich tone colour, continuous biniou and bagpipe resonance, condensed spectrum and, obviously, powerful sound.

Erwan Keravec
\n\nErwan KERAVEC is a highland bagpiper, composer and improviser. In seeking out the more unusual sounds, and ways of playing and listening to his instrument, far from its original cultural setting, he is exploring improvised music, free and “noise” jazz, and establishing a repertoire of contemporary music for solo pipes, trio with solo voice and with choir. With an interest in movement and in settings associated with reinvention, he also writes, plays and improvises for dance.
\n\nHis music stems from traditional Breton music practice. In 1996, Erwan was part of the Ronsed Mor bagad. 舞作法文名為「membre fantôme」意即「幻肢」,意思是指失去四肢的人所產生的幻覺,感覺失去的四肢仍舊附著在軀幹上。2016年,法國SACD協會與亞維儂藝術節邀請蘇格蘭風笛演奏家艾爾萬.克哈維和現代舞者米卡耶.費利波策劃一場雙人演出,大受好評,兩位藝術家擅長處理自我認同的議題,並將其轉化為創作上的養分及動能。克哈維深受布列塔尼傳統音樂影響,但作品卻試圖跳脫出原有文化框架,朝當代音樂創作的方向發展;另一位現代舞者費利波,則是偶然間認識了布列塔尼傳統舞蹈進而產生興趣,並融入現代舞的身體語彙。兩人以音樂和舞蹈叩問彼此的成長背景,探討傳統文化的內涵與脈絡。觀眾將在戶外榕樹廣場欣賞兩位藝術家的精湛演出,感受充滿詩意的藝術之美。

艾爾萬.克哈維
\n\n身兼蘇格蘭風笛演奏家、作曲家和即興演奏家的艾爾萬.克哈維,為尋求更獨特的樂音組合,以及不同的演奏方式和聽覺體驗,他跳脫出風笛樂器原有的文化背景,開始多方探索即興音樂、自由爵士與「噪音」爵士,並藉此為風笛獨奏,以及與獨唱和合唱團進行的三重奏,開創當代音樂的曲目。克哈維對肢體表演的興趣亦使其跨界為眾多編舞家的作品創作及演奏。
\n其音樂養分源自傳統的布列塔尼音樂。1996年,克哈維加入了Ronsed Mor布列塔尼管樂隊。該樂隊與法國里昂想像音樂探索協會ARFI旗下的煉獄鍋爵士樂團(La Marmite Infernale)一同錄製作品,該次合作經歷喚醒了克哈維的即興演奏基因,並延續至今。
\n米卡耶.費利波
米卡耶.費利波在加入法國蒙彼利埃編舞中心所設立的ex.e.r.ce舞蹈培訓計畫前,曾修讀視覺藝術並與不同舞團合作。之後他與知名編舞家瑪蒂德.莫尼葉、亞蘭.布法、丹尼爾.勞厄等一同共事。2001至2008期間,他與其他四名藝術家組成了「五人俱樂部」(Clubdes5),致力於實驗性質的集體創作。自2003年以來,他將創作重心放在自身設計的、名為「當我們相遇」(bi-portrait)的演出計畫上,巧妙呈現與某人邂逅時的情景。與風笛音樂家艾爾萬.克哈維合作的《如影隨形》(2016)即此系列的編創作品之一。2010年起,費利波在基塞尼(Guissény,位於法國布列塔尼大區)的「家裡」(A Domicile)藝術節擔任藝術總監,每年邀請編舞家駐村與當地居民合作。費利波也曾於不同藝術機構擔任駐村藝術家,如法國國家編舞發展中心上法蘭西區交換計畫(L’échangeur-CDC Hauts-de-France) (2016-2017-2018)、馬賽的梅哈隆(Le Merlan)表演藝術劇場(2016-2018),以及諾曼第大區的康城編舞中心(2016-2019)。

\n\nIn April 2016, the SACD (the "Society for Dramatic Artists and Composers") and the Festival d'Avignon put forward a proposal for Erwan KERAVEC and Mickael PHELIPPEAU to work on a duo performance as part of the Sujets à Vif programme. Both artists - a bagpipe player and a choreographer - share the common trait of working and interacting with their own identities in order to transform them. With this project, they explore the notion of heritage. Erwan KERAVEC grew up and learned to play music in bagads, ensembles performing traditional Breton music. As for PHELIPPEAU, he discovered traditional Breton dancing over 30 years ago. This was their point of departure. This project takes us through the broader tendencies underlying their identities, then pulling away to find a deeper meaning.

Erwan Keravec
\n\nErwan Keravec is a highland bagpiper, composer and improviser. In seeking out the more unusual sounds, and ways of playing and listening to his instrument, far from its original cultural setting, he is exploring improvised music, free and “noise” jazz, and establishing a repertoire of contemporary music for solo pipes, trio with solo voice and with choir. With an interest in movement and in settings associated with reinvention, he also writes, plays and improvises for dance.
\nHis music stems from traditional Breton music practice. In 1996, Erwan was part of the Ronsed Mor bagad. \nMickaël Phelippeau
After studying visual arts and performing with several different dance companies, Mickaël Phelippeau joined the ex.e.r.ce training program at the Centre Chorégraphique National de Montpellier. He then worked with, among others, Mathilde Monnier, Alain Buffard and Daniel Larrieu. From 2001 to 2008, he and four other artists were part of the Clubdes5, a collective project built around a permanent laboratory and collective creation. Since 2003, he has focused his research on the bi-portrait, a subterfuge he devised for encountering someone. membre fantôme with Erwan Keravec (2016) was one of the choreographic pieces. Since 2010, Mickaël Phelippeau has been the artistic director of the festival A Domicile in Guissény (Brittany, France). Every year, he invites choreographers to work in residency with the inhabitants of this village. Mickaël Phelippeau was artist in residency at L'échangeur-CDC Hauts-de-France (2016-2017-2018); at Le Merlan, scène nationale à Marseille (2016-2018); at Centre chorégraphique national de Caen en Normandie (2016-2019).

\n以世人耳熟能詳的小提琴古典炫技曲目,加上當代作曲家的電聲互映,在獨奏的演出形態中,音樂的歷史脈絡與當代電聲的相映成趣。

\n《遊刃之弦》是小提琴家吳思樺為小提琴獨奏與電聲音樂所設計的製作,她以古典音樂中的傳統演奏方式為核心,探索加入電聲與互動科技的樂器演奏狀態。有別於常見的電聲演奏,多以聲響設計為作品核心,吳思樺作為一位優異的小提琴家,她為《遊刃之弦》設計兩套演奏曲目,從傳統炫技到當代技法,展現小提琴不可思議的多種面貌,不僅引領觀眾探索全新的聽覺領域、擴展觀眾的想像力,也重新定義傳統樂器與電聲結合的美學精神,同時以音樂演奏對科技在藝術領域的應用,提出思辨與實踐。

吳思樺
\n\n從紐約林肯中心及米勒劇院、蘇黎世音樂廳、薩爾茲堡莫札特音樂學院到臺北國家戲劇院都有吳思樺演出的蹤跡。她也曾在法國巴黎龐畢度中心、浪漫生活博物館以及蒙貝利亞爾的現代藝術中心「19」舉辦演出。
\n於歌倫比亞大學比較文學系和茱莉亞音樂學院畢業後,吳思樺留在茱莉亞音樂學院繼續攻讀碩士並同時在哈佛攻讀民族音樂學碩士。之後,為了研究所作品,她前往瑞士蘇黎世音樂大學,拜師Zakhar Bron 以及 Nora Chastain。

\nViolinist WU Szuhwa designs concerts that challenge and disturb, surprise and enthrall audiences. Noted for the “lightness, grace, and purity,” (New York Times) and the expressive authority and sensitivity of her playing, Ms. WU in performance builds “a stimulating tension” (Neue Zuercher Zeitung) and holds her audience in rapt attention. Ms. WU presents two programs of dynamic explorations of sound possibilities. In each one she offers surprising and provoking pairs of pioneering solo works for violin, that expand audience's imaginations. \n\nMs. Wu's performance credits range from New York's Lincoln Center and Miller Theatre, to the Zurich Tonhalle, the Salzburg Mozarteum, and the National Theater of Taipei. She has also created performance experiences for the Centre Pompidou and the Musée de la Vie Romantique in Paris, as well as the “19” Center for Contemporary Arts in Montbéliard.
\n\nWith undergraduate degrees from both Columbia University and The Juilliard School—in comparative literature and violin performance respectively—Ms. Wu continued at Juilliard for her master's degree and earned an additional master's in ethnomusicology at Harvard. For her post-graduate work, she studied in Switzerland at the Hochschule fur Musik in Zurich with Zakhar Bron and Nora Chastain.

The most talented contemporary violinist, who is the first choice of the world-class orchestra, corresponds with the 1747 Carlo Bergonzi, showing the greatest traditional culture of the Franco-Belgian.This year, Olivier Charlier will cooperate with Baroque Camerata once again. Being a professor in Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris (CNSMDP), Olivier Charlier also won different awards on international music competitions, and had profound experience playing with several prominent orchestra like Orchestre de Paris, London Philharmonic Orchestra, and Berliner Philharmoniker.
\nThis time, the program managed by the master in person contains the French works from 17th to 20th century, those are unique and intriguing that distinct from the mainstream in Germany and Italy. Now the French master with the Taiwanese musicians stand together performing on the stage vigorously which providing a dialogues platform of different cultures, and this event is a great way to provide audiences with a special and engaging experience.

\n\nProst! A sumptuous showcase of musical giants, Beethoven and Bruckner, are coming!
\n\nPraised by The Times for her “noble playing, with its rhythmic life, taut and rigorous,” Japanese violinist Akiko Suwanai was the youngest ever winner of the International Tchaikovsky Competition in 1990. Since then she has enjoyed a flourishing international career and appears regularly with celebrated maestros and foremost orchestras across the globe. In the 1st half, Akiko will bring "Beethoven: Violin concerto in D Major " with KSO. The Beethoven is of course a much-played concerto, yet in Suwanai’s hands, it will be her sheer warmth and communicative skills that made the difference. In the 2nd half, the acknowledged worldwide conductor, Claus Peter Flor, will lead KSO to present "Brukner: Symphony No.4 in E-flat major, Romantic" (1878/80 version, ed Nowak) which was noted by composer himself "the wonder of nature surrounds them." Mo.Flor was appointed general music director of the Berlin Symphony Orchestra and has conducted many of the world's foremost orchestras, such as Berlin Philharmonic, New York Philharmonic, the Chicago Symphony etc.

Especially the rare characteristic is beyond other choirs, and therefore this children’s choir was praised as "the best children's choir in France" by Lyon Le Progres. They are the original singers of the blockbuster movie “Les Choristes” in 2004, which touched 8.6 million fans around the world with the heavenly voice. This time, they will bring the songs of “Les Choristes” ,the theme songs and interludes of many films, anthems, classical songs, and contemporary songs, etc.

\n\n台灣絃樂團30週年系列音樂會
\n\n來自比利時的小提琴家─馬克‧布許柯夫(Marc Bouchkov),在2018年《留聲機雜誌》被選為最受矚目的音樂家;2019年獲得柴可夫斯基國際音樂大賽銀獎,此外,也曾在國際榮獲各項大獎的他,為這場音樂會帶來最擅長曲目之一,現代作曲家法斯克斯的小提琴協奏曲《遠光》。除此之外,因逢台灣絃樂團成立30週年,特別邀請獲獎無數、也是本團的駐團作曲家─彭靖,為台灣絃樂團進行創作。台灣絃樂團安排全國首演的《遠光》及世界首演的彭靖全新創作,拉脫維亞的異國風情與臺灣本土音樂各放其彩,此外音樂會也包含莫札特與理查‧史特勞斯的作品,將為您帶來全新不同的音樂感受。

\n\nMarc Bouchkov, a violinist from Belgium, Gramophone Magazine selected he as one to watch musician in 2018; he won the silver medal of the International Tchaikowsky Competition in 2019. “Distant Light” will be performed in this concert, and the works is written by Pēteris Vasks, a composer comes from Latvian. It will be the first time to perform the works in Taiwan. In addition, due to 30th anniversary, ATS specilly invites Peng, Jing to compose new works.

\n\nButterfly Lovers, Symphony of Love
\n\nJointly organized by the Evergreen Symphony Orchestra (ESO) and Beijing Red Maple Culture Communication Co., “Butterfly Lovers, Symphony of Love” concert is a supreme instance of Chinese-Western cultural exchange, as it brings into harmony Chinese traditional music and Western symphonic music. Since its cross-strait tour began in 2014, the concert has been attended by over two million people. On May 1, 2020, the concert will perform at Weiwuying Concert Hall for the first time.
\n\nESO Conductor Wen-chen Chuang and renowned Mainland Chinese conductor Fan Tao will take turns commanding the orchestra. The concert featured Mainland Chinese erhu player Li Mei, Mainland Chinese Cellist Jiapeng Nie, Taiwanese soprano Melody Yang, etc.It is a musical feast encompassing the old and the new, Chinese and Western classics.

衛武營國家藝術文化中心目標成為「亞洲劇場自造者的新創基地」,2017年與「PQ布拉格劇場設計四年展」(Prague Quadrennial of Performance Design and Space, PQ)簽署四年合作計劃,本計劃共有八個合作夥伴機構,分別來自捷克、英國、挪威、賽普勒斯、烏克蘭、波蘭、拉脫維亞及臺灣,作為臺灣代表的衛武營亦是此計畫唯一的亞洲夥伴。

透過此計畫,開啟亞洲與歐洲間持續的合作契機,包括新銳設計/創作者交流、實習生培訓與展演作品交流計畫等實驗與合作的機會,發展亞洲和歐洲青年劇場自造者(theater-makers)間的交流網絡。

2020年的整個5月,《EUREKA!2.0發現衛武營》以展覽、創意實驗自造所及演出三個子計畫,串起不同國家的夥伴藝術計畫,在衛武營的公共空間中,創造和藝術的不期而遇。

崛起計畫(Emergence)
\n\n由PQ布拉格劇場設計四年展發起的崛起計畫(Emergence),由歐盟「創意歐洲」(Creative Europe)計劃大力支持,是一個為期三年的文化研究交流計畫,由歐洲七個藝術機構與臺灣衛武營共同合作,串連起歐陸與亞洲間創意對話的橋樑。「崛起計畫」的參與者多由設計師、導演、演員,舞者、音樂家、美術和視覺藝術家、數位創作者、策展人、製作人和經理人等組成,這些新銳創作者們根據選定的議題,透過研討會、大師班、藝術家駐地工作坊、現場行為表演 (live art) 和階段性的成果發表展覽,與眾人分享新一代的藝術創作實踐者如何從文化遺產中整理出集體文化記憶,重新翻轉並且為當代生活的人們創造另類的觀賞體驗。

PQ布拉格劇場設計四年展(簡稱PQ)主題囊括劇場設計、表演設計與劇場建築,是全世界規模最大的劇場設計藝術節之一。自1967年首屆PQ設計展以來,主辦單位透過各種交流活動包括展覽、藝術節、工作坊、戲劇演出與研討會,並提供豐富的教學與駐點創作機會,帶領大眾一同探索劇場與表演設計界最傑出的作品。吸引來自全球70個國家與地區的專業人員、學生與社會大眾參與,超過18萬名的觀眾與訪客共襄盛舉。

PQ擁有國際性的表演設計平台以及龐大的年輕設計師與藝術從業人員網絡,2019年的PQ布拉格劇場設計四年展於布拉格工業園區舉行。這座富有歷史文化意義的園區曾是1891年百年工業博覽會時令眾人自豪的會場,也曾是納粹集中營的據點與共產黨政府舉辦各式慶典的場地,在此舉行別具意義。

維多利亞與艾伯特博物館是全世界最重要的藝術與設計資源之一,自1837年開始營運以來,便向大眾開放所有館藏,不僅對訪客而言極具教育意義,也啟發了無數的設計師與製造商。每年約有370萬名訪客親自拜訪此博物館,更有高達1,500萬人次透過網路欣賞館藏。維多利亞與艾伯特博物館收藏的文化遺產數量位居全球首位,但館方也不忘時時審視自身文化帝國主義的背景,並積極為當代社會中的非主流聲音提供一個發光發熱的舞台。

除了分享世界級的展覽平台與觀眾之外,該博物館也致力於提供各式表演空間供現場展演活動舉行,期望未來能夠更進一步促進藝術文化交流。面臨英國脫歐的衝擊,館方將持續尋求跨文化交流機會,結合新舊藝術家之力,搭建並維護一座串連歐洲的新橋梁。此外,維多利亞與艾伯特博物館與中央聖馬丁藝術與設計學院、羅斯布魯弗表演藝術學院皆已有長久的合作關係,持續為新銳創作者及學生創造展現自我的機會。

IZOLYATSIA是一個非營利的跨域文化倡議平台,主要任務為力促社會文化改革。因成立於戰爭紛擾頻仍的頓內次克地區,IZOLYATSIA舉辦的展覽活動將人們對戰爭衝突的反應化作藝術與表演,可說是文化催化正向改變的最佳實例。

IZOLYATSIA的展演深受當地的歷史文化因素啟發,不但為觀眾帶來嶄新的藝術體驗,同時也將衝突現況資訊呈現在眾人眼前。策展人以自身的專業提供當地藝術家展演的機會、空間與時間,並讓對方盡情創作能促進包容、理解與尊重文化差異的作品。

THOC賽普勒斯劇院組織是政府所設立的單位,致力於提倡劇場藝術、培植國民戲劇涵養,並維護賽普勒斯、希臘與鄰近國家劇場圈之間的藝術關係。該組織於賽普勒斯國內外輔導源自希臘、賽普勒斯與世界各地的古典與當代戲劇創作,同時也投入戲劇從業人員的培育與訓練,並積極安排泛賽普勒斯、泛希臘與世界各地的戲劇角色於島上的古劇場及其他戶外空間演出。任職於THOC的專家,同時也是賽普勒斯教育文化部在劇場領域的顧問。

雖然賽普勒斯的居民擁有共同的文化背景,但島上卻充滿了顯見或潛在的衝突與分化。在此氛圍下,THOC為戲劇創作者提供了獨特的創作機會,讓人們從彼此的歧見中相互學習,並建立新的友誼。藉由組織化的領導,THOC期望能將表演實踐帶到距離其總部僅有一箭之遙的「綠線」(Green Line),也就是已有半個世紀歷史的賽普勒斯聯合國緩衝區。

拉脫維亞新戲劇學院是「當代劇場國際藝術節」的主辦單位。「當代劇場國際藝術節」是拉脫維亞境內表演藝術類節慶的領導者,也是波羅的海地區規模最大的藝術節。此藝術節於首都里加舉行,旨在帶領觀眾一窺著名藝術家及新銳創作者的世界觀與社會思維,並精心策劃各種演出、研討會與工作坊等活動。自1995年創立以來已舉辦過11屆,包含逾百場的客座演出,也製作過不少的新劇作品。

拉脫維亞新戲劇學院在2019年PQ中分享為特殊場地策辦演出與發展觀眾等經驗。受到拉脫維亞當代劇場國際藝術節的洗禮,當地的藝術家能夠充實自身的知識與經驗,並厚植為特定展演空間設計專屬演出的實力。正因如此,許多未曾開發的場館後來都因此受到挖掘而躍升為公眾自主的展演空間,進而成為當地的文化藝術中心。多年來,該藝術節不斷努力推廣城市與場館合作、空間劇場構作與特定場域創作,並強調劇場設計是一種自主且創新的藝術型態。

當前國際盛行以城市公共空間為表演區域的創作趨勢,比以介入都市空間的布魯塞爾SIGNAL藝術節是最佳例子。第一屆花蓮城市空間藝術節由衛武營戲劇顧問耿一偉與世界溜溜球冠軍聯合擔任策展人,將以市區的溝仔尾為基地,前一天為夜晚封街活動,將空間還給市民,透過街頭藝術與戶外裝置,創造市民有感的節慶之夜。第二天則會擴散到花蓮市區,以沉浸式劇場、因地制宜舞蹈、行為藝術、互動裝置等各種公共空間藝術計畫,創造對城市的想像。

受到臺灣政治現象啟發,2019年6月衛武營EUREKA創作群所集體創作的 Lift Me Up ,靈感來自政治候選人宣告投身參與競選是因為神明託夢,試圖從藝術創作探討個體、群體與社會間宗教信仰與民主制度間的複雜關係。

2019年於PQ布拉格劇場設計四年展首演的 Lift Me Up,於2020年回到臺灣衛武營發展2.0版本《抬轎》,深化在地脈絡與社會關切之時事議題,將經歷國際藝術節洗禮的作品再現於孕育素材的臺灣。

「民主制度」與「神的意旨」乍看是兩個平行領域。如果政治候選人宣布參選僅是因為「神的託夢」時,選民支持投下的票是挺誰?而我們遵從的又是誰的意旨?
\n\nEUREKA創作群從舞蹈「接觸即興」中強調沒有特定人引導、相互即時觸發的「中空身體」概念,連結到媽祖遶境時,一群扛轎人受「神靈指引」而移動轎子、展現神性的狀態相當雷同。當沒有特定的領導者時,移動的轎子是否就是神性的顯現?「神」在哪裡?而當神的意旨經過不同媒介轉化、體現在移動的轎子上時,神的意旨會不會是眾人的無意識地共謀?而「神」其實是人民共同意志的代名詞?

A central goal of the National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts (Weiwuying) is to become the innovation hub for theater-makers in Asia. In 2017, a four-year collaborative project agreement was signed with the Prague Quadrennial of Performance Design and Space (PQ). The project is a collaboration between eight partners in Czech Republic, the United Kingdom, Norway, Cyprus, Ukraine, Poland, Latvia, and Taiwan. Weiwuying, as the representative of Taiwan, was also the only Asian partner in this collaborative project.

Over the course of the project, Weiwuying has opened up new opportunities for long-term collaboration between Asia and Europe—including exchanges among emerging designers/creators, internship, and exhibition exchanges—and fostered the development of a network of young theater-makers from Asia and Europe.

\nIn May 2020, through the exhibition, creative and experimental lab, and performances of EUREKA! 2.0 Rediscovering Weiwuying, this collaborative arrangement generates partner art projects from multiple countries that bring a chance encounter with art in the public space in Weiwuying.

The EUREKA! 2.0: Rediscovering Weiwuying Exhibition is focused on the three indispensable core values of space, people, and theater-makers. As a design medium for a better life, Weiwuying has created a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for creative design exchanges, experimenting, and matchmaking. By bringing audience, performers, creative designers, and venue operators together in its unique architectural space, Weiwuying has set this group of people on an experimental adventure that begins within the building of the art center and extends to the Weiwuying Metropolitan Park outside, opening their imaginations to the idea that “life is theater.”

Emergence
\n\nInititated by PQ, the Emergence project is a three-year cultural research and exchange project in the frame of the Creative Europe program. This collaboration project consists of effort between Taiwan’s Weiwuying and seven other European art institutions, and has sparked a creative conversation between Europe and Asia. The primary participants in the Emergence project are designers, directors, actors, dancers, musicians, visual artists, digital creators, curators, producers, and managers. Through seminars, masterclasses, artist-in-residence workshops, live art performances, and exhibitions, these emerging creators share with the world how a new generation of art practitioners are able to extract collective cultural memories from our cultural heritage, transform them, and create alternative viewing experiences for the people of today.

Their work is an example of culture being a catalyst of positive change as they seek to react to an active conflict zone through art and performance.

IZOLYATSIA brings new experience and current information about conflict situations where culture and heritage plays an important role. They share their expertise and experts as well as provide, opportunity, space and time for artists to create work that contributes to diminishing intolerance, and embraces cultural differences and diversity.

The Zbigniew Raszewski Theatre Institute deals with documentation, promotion, and animation of Polish theatrical life. It supports educational projects, research, and acts as a publisher. The Institute manages the largest archive of theatre-related documents in Poland, maintains a library, houses a specialist bookshop PROSPERO, and runs a theatre studio where presentations are open to the public. The Institute manages a portal devoted to Polish theatre and the site “Encyclopedia of the Polish theatre”.

New Theatre Institute of Latvia is the organizer of the International Festival of Contemporary Theatre Homo Novus, which is the leading performing arts festival in Latvia and one of the biggest in the Baltic region. It takes place in Riga and introduces audiences to both new and renowned artists that seek ways of expressing their views and opinions about the world and the society. Festival offers a range of performances as well as seminars, workshops and other activities. Since 1995 there have been 11 festivals, showing more than 100 different guest performances and producing several new works.

New Theatre Institute of Latvia shared their expertise in organizing site specific performances and audience development in PQ 2019. Thanks to Homo Novus festival theatre artists in Latvia have expanded their knowledge and practice and mastered their capacities in developing site-specific work. Festival has discovered and entered several sites and venues that later on have become autonomous public centers and continue to function as places for culture and the arts. Collaboration with the city and its sites, dramaturgy of the space, site-specific approach and focus on scenography as autonomous and innovative artistic practice have been among the interests of the festival for many years.

Weiwuying and Prague Quadrennial (PQ) have joined forces to create opportunities for early-career theater-makers to develop and establish a network for international theater-makers between Asia and Europe, to provide a horizon for dialogue and collaborations.

In 2020, the Creative and Experimental Lab of EUREKA!2.0 Project at Weiwuying is our experiment with all makers, to explore new possibilities and revisit existing ideas. The six-day workshop allows theater-makers to experiment their ideas with or without concrete outcomes, make new connections and take the one-year old Weiwuying as lab grounds to break out and try wildly or mildly different.

Hualien is a beautiful city. With the green mountain, blue sky, spark sunshine, and grand ocean, we can define it is the most livable city in Taiwan. The first edition of Hualien Performing Space Festival is curated by Yi-Wei Keng and Yuan-Ching Yang. It invites the performative arts projects in public space including theatre, dance, music, circus, street performance, installation and live arts. There will be a two-day event. The first day will focus on the street performance, the second day will dedicate to the projects of urban engagement.

Inspired by a Taiwanese political event in which a presidential candidate attributed his running for office to divine revelation, the artists of Weiwuying’s EUREKA Project created the Lift Me Up. The live exhibition is an attempt to understand the complex relationship between religion and democracy among individuals, groups, and in society itself through artistic creation and dialog.

In May 2020, Lift Me Up at Weiwuying will be unveiled as a reimagining of the original live exhibition first presented at the Prague Quadrennial in 2019. After its premiere in the Prague Quadrennial, the performance, which has been revamped to incorporate the local cultural context and social issues, is ready to meet the people in Taiwan.

The central government and local institutions are working together to keep the arts rolling amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
